Conclusion
Through my classes at NC State and my research, I have learned that motivating students is tricky business! Integrating technology with TPACK, giving students choices, and making learning relevant to the students is what engages them in reading and writing activities. When they are really engaged, significant learning happens. Most of my students are reading and writing more, which is also impacting the other content areas in a positive way since literacy and the other content areas are so closely linked in the Common Core.
